When working in the engine compartment, be sure to disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
Do not mix up the voltage regulator and alternator wires. Before disconnecting, mark the wires with adhesive tape.
Never disconnect the battery or voltage regulator while the engine is running.
Do not remove the generator while the battery is connected.
When carrying out electric welding work, be sure to disconnect the battery.
