- When working in the engine compartment, be sure to disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
- Do not mix up the voltage regulator and alternator wires. Before disconnecting, mark the wires with adhesive tape.
- Never disconnect the battery while the engine is running.
- Do not remove the generator while the battery is connected.
- When carrying out electric welding work, be sure to disconnect the battery.
