1. Inspect the belts, buckles and belt fastenings to the body for visible damage and signs of wear. If the belt has an inertia drum, pull the belt out to its full length and inspect it from both sides.
2. Fasten and unfasten the belt buckle. Make sure the buckle holds the belt securely and can be easily unfastened when needed. If the belt has an inertia reel, check that it can be easily pulled out and retracted into the body pillar.
3. Check the reliability of all belt supports if this does not require disassembling the trim panels.
