Removal and installation the heater fan (BMW 3 Series E36)

Removal

Remove the air intake box.

Use a screwdriver to lift the "arrow" brackets and remove the motor casing.



Disconnect the connector.

Release clamp "7" and fold upwards.

Four-cylinder engine

Unscrew bolt "1" and put the flange aside.



remove the O-rings.

Mark the motor mounting position on the bracket. To do this, draw a line along the motor and bracket with a felt-tip pen.



Lift the wires and pull out the motor.

Six-cylinder engine

Remove the cylinder head cover.

Unscrew and move aside the wire casing.

Mark the motor mounting position on the bracket. To do this, draw a line along the motor and bracket with a felt-tip pen.

Remove the motor.

Installation

Insert the motor in accordance with the marking made on the bracket "8".



Lower and snap the clamp "7". While doing this, watch the wiring, see the figure.

Place the casing on and snap the clamps into place.

Connect the connector.

Four-cylinder engine

Replace O-rings.

Six-cylinder engine

Install the cylinder head cover.

Screw on the cable harness cover.

Install the air intake box.
