Removal and installation the heater cable (BMW 3 Series E36)

Removal

Remove the glove compartment.



Using a narrow screwdriver, press the cable out of the clamp "1" on the corresponding air damper, on the support "2" and pull out the cable.

Remove the air distributor shaft, having first released the fastening hook.

Remove the heater control panel. Do not disconnect the connectors.

Disconnect and remove the corresponding cable.

Installation

Connect the new cable to the heater control panel and press the cable with a narrow screwdriver into the air damper lever until it clicks into place. Secure the support. When turning the handle from stop to stop, the cable is automatically adjusted.

Install the distributor shaft.

Install the heater control panel.

Install the glove box.
