If the engine does not start, a systemic troubleshooting should be performed. There are two possible reasons for preventing the engine from starting on gasoline engines: the air-fuel mixture must enter the cylinders and a spark must jump between the spark plug electrodes. Therefore, the first thing to check is whether fuel is being supplied at all. How to do this is described in the sections "Fuel system" and "Fuel injection system".
