In the production of cars, small changes in their design constantly occur, information about which is not always published. Catalogs and spare parts lists are based on numerical designations. Numerical designations are needed to accurately identify the components installed on the vehicle (codes) car.
When ordering spare parts, always provide the supplier with as much information as you know. Specify the model. year of manufacture, as well as registration numbers of the chassis and engine of your car.
Vehicle identification number (VIN) riveted to the left suspension strut support, in the front corner of the engine compartment and visible through the windshield from the passenger seat. In addition, the identification number is stamped on the support of the right suspension strut in the engine compartment (see fig.).
The engine identification number is stamped on the side wall of the cylinder block, next to the oil dipstick (except for N42 engine) or on the front wall of the cylinder block, next to the cylinder head gasket (N42 engine).
