Vehicle Identification Numbers (BMW 7 Series E32)

The vehicle type identification plate is attached to the mudguard of the right front wheel in the engine compartment. It indicates the model and series number of the vehicle, the gross weight, the gross transport weight and the loads on the front and rear axles.

Chassis number

The chassis number is stamped on the power element of the mudguard of the right front wing.

Engine number

The engine number is stamped on the left side of the cylinder block above the starter.

Color code plate

The vehicle color code plate is located next to the vehicle type identification plate.
