The production of BMW Series 3 cars was launched in September 1998. The first in this series were produced models with gasoline engines with a displacement of 1.9 (1895 cm3). 2.3 l (2494 cm3) and 2.8 l (2793 cm3). Later, the engine range was extended to include 2.2L engines (2171 cm3) and 3.0 l (2979 cm3) with two upper distributive 8s. In March 2001, models with 2.0 liter engines were added to them (1995 cm3) and system "Valvetronic" and with 1.8 liter engine (1796 cm3). All models have fully independent front and rear suspension.
