Types of tire tread wear (BMW X3 E83)

A visual inspection of the tire tread condition allows you to determine with a high degree of accuracy the cause of uneven wear, the elimination of which will improve vehicle handling, reduce fuel consumption, and extend the life of your tires.

Increased tire wear	Tire pressure is below normal	Bring the tire pressure up to normal
Increased wear in the center of the tire	Tire pressure is above normal
Cracks	Tire pressure is below normal
Increased wear on one side	The transverse tilt of the steering axis is incorrectly adjusted	Adjust the wheel alignment angles
Oblique wear	Wheel alignment is incorrect	Adjust the wheel alignment angles
Spot wear	The wheel is not balanced	Balance the wheel
Tooth wear	The wheel is not balanced	Balance the wheel
	Damage to the wheel bearing	Replace the wheel bearing
	The ball joint is damaged	Replace the ball joint
	Malfunction of the shock absorber	Replace the shock absorber
