Occupational safety and health
To carry out repair work safely and efficiently, use hand tools and mechanical tools (only during disassembly) and recommended special devices.
Before servicing your vehicle, cover the fenders, upholstery and flooring with special protective covers. Make sure that keys, fasteners and buttons do not leave scratches on the paintwork.
If possible, use protective clothing and impermeable gloves.
Do not put oily rags in your pockets.
Avoid contamination of clothing, especially underwear, with oil.
It is prohibited to wear heavily oiled clothing and oil-soaked shoes. Work clothes must be cleaned regularly.
Open cuts and wounds must be treated immediately in accordance with first aid rules.
After work, you must wash your hands with soap and make sure that there are no traces of oil left on them. Skin care products containing lanolin help restore the skin's natural oils that are removed when oil is washed off.
Do not use gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel or solvents to clean leather.
If signs of skin disease occur, consult a doctor immediately.
If there is a risk of contaminants getting into the eyes, use eye protection: safety glasses or protective masks. In addition, conditions must be created to allow, if necessary, rinsing the eyes with plenty of running water.
