Precautions and rules for working with the injection system (BMW 7 Series E32)

            0

Attention: When working with the fuel system, it is necessary to pay attention to maintaining cleanliness.

The fuel system is under pressure. Therefore, before replacing parts, you need to release the pressure in the system. In this case, you need to carefully loosen the fuel supply lines, and when removing them, put a rag under them.

The pressure is released automatically (without loosening fuel line connections), when the engine has not been running for several hours.

Before checking the injection system, you need to make sure that the ignition is in order, i.e. the ignition system parts, including the spark plugs, comply with the technical specifications.

Only disconnect or connect the plug of the DME control unit with the ignition switched off. Make sure that all plugs are seated correctly.

Do not start the engine without a securely connected battery

Do not disconnect the battery cables while the engine is running.

When fast charging, disconnect the battery. Do not use the charger to start the engine.

Do not heat the control unit above 80°C.

When measuring compression, remove the voltage supply to the DME system by removing the main relay.
