Accelerator cable — adjustment (BMW 7 Series E32)

            0

Attention: The gas cable is very sensitive to bending and therefore must be handled with great care during installation. One slight bend may cause damage during further work. Cables that have been bent must not be installed on the vehicle. In vehicles with automatic speed control, the device is often called TEMPROMAT. An additional gas cable is attached to the throttle lever. If necessary, this cable can be unhooked in the same way as a normal cable.

Adjustment

Press the accelerator pedal fully and hold it in this position. To do this, you can insert a suitable spacer between the seat and the pedal.

Press the throttle lever to the full open position and tighten the adjusting nut on the rubber support until the gas cable is taut. Release the accelerator pedal.

Squeeze the throttle lever to loosen the throttle cable nipple.

Remove the nipple from the segment. Pull the throttle cable sheath out of the rubber support. Connection

Thread the cable through the rubber bushing on the support.

Squeeze the throttle lever slightly and attach the cable nipple. Check the adjustment of the "gas" cable.
