Headlight re-adjustment (BMW X5 E53)

Reconfiguration of headlights is necessary when crossing the border with a different direction of movement. Reconfiguration of xenon headlights on a right-hand drive vehicle must be carried out in the following order.

• Remove the key from the ignition.
• Open the hood and, turning counterclockwise, remove the caps from the back of both headlights.

Left-hand drive car with halogen or xenon headlights

• Lever (1, Fig. 1.30) on the left headlight, raise it up, and on the right headlight, lower it down.

Right hand drive car with halogen headlights

• Lever (1, Fig. 1.30) on the left headlight, raise it up, and on the right headlight, lower it down.

Right hand drive car with xenon headlights

• Lever (1, Fig. 1.30) on the left headlight, lower it down, and on the right headlight, raise it up.
• Install the headlight caps.
