External body lighting (BMW X5 E53)
Replacement of lamps should be carried out in cotton gloves and protective glasses. It is forbidden to touch glass bulbs of lamps with bare hands. Lamp bulbs are under pressure, and traces of fat left on the bulb lead to rapid burnout of lamps.

The high beam headlights use halogen lamps of the H1 type with a power of 55 W (Fig. 1.32),
The low beam headlights use halogen lamps of the H7 type with a power of 55 W (Fig. 1.33).
The low beam headlights are located on the periphery, the high beam headlights are closer to the axis of the car.

Install a new lamp holder onto the connector, ensuring that it fits precisely.
Wipe the protective glass of the headlights using cleaning liquids (special shampoos) followed by rinsing with plenty of water. Remove any ice that forms with special defrosting aerosols.
Xenon headlights BMW X5 E53 have an increased service life and high reliability, can be installed on the car by order or at the service station. They significantly better and more evenly illuminate the road in front of the car, as well as its sides, compared to conventional halogen lamps.
All lamps installed in the rear light have a power of 21 watts.
