Interior lighting (BMW X5 E53)

            0

The interior lighting is provided by several lamps and is controlled automatically. When the ignition is switched off, the key is set to the "0" position, after 15 minutes all the lighting in the car interior is switched off, regardless of the switch position. The central light (Fig. 1.40) is located above the windshield and has a power of 10 W. The individual lighting lamps of the front seats are 10 W each, and those of the rear seats are 5 W each. The individual lighting lamps are located in the front, next to the interior light, and also in the rear seat area. These lamps are switched on by key switches located near the corresponding lamps and can be activated after the ignition key is set to the "1" position.

Manual switching on and off of interior lighting is done by pressing a button (1, Fig. 1.40). If the interior light should be turned off for a long time, hold the button down for about 3 seconds. To cancel this mode, simply press and release the button.

The interior lighting system also includes 5W footwell and boot lighting.

The car has lighting in front of the doors. Built into the exterior mirrors, the lighting illuminates the area in front of the front doors. They turn on together with the interior lighting of the BMW X5 E53, but not while driving.

Attention! In order to avoid unnecessary discharge of the battery, 15 minutes after the ignition key is set to the "O" position, all lighting devices in the passenger compartment are automatically switched off.

LEDs

Warning! You can't look at the exposed LEDs, so they are covered with caps that filter their radiation. To avoid damaging the retina, do not remove these caps.

LEDs are used to illuminate the vehicle's controls, display devices, and other internal equipment. LEDs have a lot in common with conventional lasers and are officially called "Class 1 light-emitting diodes".
