Withdrawal
Remove the oil filler cap. Pry off the small covers with a screwdriver and unscrew the bolts that are lifted up. Remove the two plastic covers.
Disconnect the lambda probes. Remove the VANOS solenoid valve plug.
Attention: On some models, the supply pipe is screwed directly into the distribution pipe. In this case, during installation, always replace the sealing ring and lubricate it with technical vaseline.
In another design, the fuel hose is fastened with retaining clips, in which case a special tool or similar clips are needed to release the clips. Before installation, check the O-ring and replace it if necessary.
Loosen the fixing screws (arrows) for the fuel distributor.
Remove the vacuum hose (1) with fuel pressure regulator (2 - connection for fuel; 3 - attachment point).
Pull the fuel distribution pipe with the injectors up out of the cylinder head. The nozzles are simply inserted and can be pulled out.
Pull out the latches (4) to the side and remove the injectors.
Installation
Insert the injectors into the fuel distribution pipe and secure with brackets.
Lubricate the O-rings with petroleum jelly or SAE90 gear oil.
Press the fuel rail injectors evenly into the cylinder head.
Attention: When installing the injectors, make sure that the O-rings are not damaged. Replace damaged o-rings paying attention to the position of the other o-ring. Lubricate the O-rings before installing only with petroleum jelly or gear oil.
Fix the distributive pipeline on a head of the block of cylinders with two bolts.
Put on the hoses (fuel lines) fuel supply and return to the distribution pipeline and secure them with new clamps or o-rings.
Connect the plugs of the lambda probes and the solenoid valve of the VANOS system.
Put on the injector connector bar.
Install the two engine covers, install the oil filler cap.
