Parking brake adjustment
Move the parking brake lever to the lowest position.
Remove the rear wheel and rotate the brake disc until the adjusting ratchet appears in the hole in the disc hub.
By turning the adjusting ratchet with a screwdriver, press the parking brake pads against the drum until the brake disc brakes.
Use a screwdriver to turn the adjusting ratchet back four to six teeth so that the brake disc can rotate freely.
Adjust the tension of the parking brake cable as described above.
Replacing parking brake pads
Withdrawal
Remove the brake disc.
Using the brake pad spring pliers, disconnect the lower parking spring.
Turn the clamping springs of the pads by 90°with a wrench 34 4 00 and disconnect the springs.
Remove the parking brake pads by spreading their lower ends apart.
Installation
Check if the adjusting ratchet rotates freely and if it is stuck, replace it.
Replace the parking brake pads, replacing the coupling and clamping springs if necessary.
Install the brake disc and adjust the parking brake system.
