Prompt car maintenance (BMW 3 Series E30)

Routine maintenance is performed every 10,000 km, but not less than once a year. Under severe operating conditions, such as driving mainly in the city and over short distances, frequent trips in mountainous areas, using a trailer, routine maintenance is performed every 5,000 km.

Engine: oil and oil filter change.

Throttle actuator: lubrication, wear and ease of movement check.

Once a year (in spring if possible):

Brake system: Check the thickness of the brake pads. If the handbrake needs adjustment.

Load-bearing body parts and chassis: check for integrity and absence of corrosion.

Sliding roof panel: cleaning and lubricating the guide rails.

Steering: Checking rods, bolt connections and oil level (power steering).

V-belts: Check the tension of all belts.

Checking the operation of all electrical consumers.

Diesel engines: Removing water from the fuel filter (see section "Removing water and replacing the fuel filter on diesel engines").
