- Jack and stands.
- A large screwdriver or a coin.
- A set of open-end wrenches or sockets.
- A vessel for draining coolant.
The following wearing parts and consumables are required:
- For topping up, even in the warm season, use only a mixture of antifreeze concentrate and lime-free clean water. It is better to use distilled water to avoid deposits. Use only the antifreeze recommended by BMW. Note: To continue driving, you can also add clean water, especially in summer. However, at the earliest opportunity, you should adjust the concentration of the composition with antifreeze.
- The drain plug on the engine block requires an aluminum gasket measuring A14x18.
