- Set the heater switch in the passenger compartment to maximum heating power.
- Turn the cooling system cap slightly to the left and release the pressure in the system. Then unscrew the cap.
Caution: When the engine is hot, open the cap carefully. Risk of injury! Open the cap only when the coolant temperature is below +60°C. Place a rag under the cap when opening.
- Raise the front of the car.
- If available, remove the cover under the radiator.

Place a clean container under the radiator and unscrew the drain plug "arrow" at the bottom of the radiator. You can use a coin to unscrew the plug.

- Place a container under the engine and open the drain plug "arrow" on the engine block. The plug is located under the exhaust manifold,
- Drain the coolant completely.
Warning: Coolant is poisonous and should not be simply poured out or thrown away with household waste. The address of the nearest special waste collection point can be found in the city or village administration.
When draining liquid during repair work, it should be drained into a container for further use.
- Screw the plug into the engine block with a new gasket and tighten to a torque of 50 Nm.
- Lightly tighten the drain plug on the radiator. To do this, insert a coin into the slot and tighten it by hand.
