1. If the brake light does not light up when the brake pedal is pressed, you must first check the corresponding fuse.
2. If the fuse is good, check the brake lights. Replace if necessary.
3. Check the brake light switch. To do this, remove the cover above the brake pedal. Disconnect the switch connector.
4. Turn on the ignition.
5. Connect both contacts in the plug of the brake light switch with a short auxiliary wire. If the brake light now comes on, the switch is defective and should be replaced.
6. Otherwise, check the light module.
