There are a few very simple checks that will only take you a few minutes, but which will save you trouble and save you a lot of time and money in the future.
The "Weekly Checks" listed below do not require much experience or special tools, but should be performed regularly and thoroughly.
Inspecting your tires and checking their pressure will not only prevent premature wear, but could also save your life.
Many faults arise due to electrical faults. Regular, even cursory, visual inspection of the wiring and battery condition will help avoid many troubles.
If you have a brake fluid leak, it may result in reduced brake performance. Checking the reserve fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir can help prevent this type of problem.
A drop in the oil or coolant level in the engine can lead to very expensive repairs. Therefore, it is much cheaper to regularly monitor their level and, if a leak is detected, find and fix the cause in time.
