Introduction to the operating instructions (BMW 5 Series E34)

            0

BMW automobile manufacturing plants are constantly improving the design of cars, equipment elements and accessories, therefore differences between the text of this "Manual" and the equipment of your car cannot be ruled out.

Dimensions, weights and dynamic characteristics are given taking into account the relevant tolerances according to DIN standards. For export modifications, these figures may differ from those stated.

Fuel consumption data correspond to the values established at the time of sending this "Manual" to print.

We have done our utmost to provide you with accurate information, but the possibility of errors cannot be completely ruled out, so please keep in mind that the information, illustrations and descriptions contained in the "Manual" cannot serve as a basis for claims.

Please note that this "Manual" describes all models and all types of equipment that BMW offers within the framework of the production of the specified types of cars. Therefore, some equipment elements may not be available on your car.

Equipment marked with * in the "Manual" is optional and can be installed on some models by order, special purpose vehicles or export versions of vehicles.

When purchasing a car, you selected a model with individual equipment. If your car is equipped with equipment that is not described in this "Manual", then this equipment is supplied with special (separate) operating instructions. For any questions, please contact your BMW service representative.

When installing additional equipment, be sure to consult a BMW service specialist, as this may affect the safe operation of the vehicle or lead to damage to it.

Important information on safety issues

For your safety, use only BMW-approved spare parts and accessories.

Certified genuine spare parts and accessories have been tested for safety, functionality and suitability for use in BMW vehicles. BMW as the manufacturer is responsible for these products.

The company bears no responsibility for spare parts and accessories that have not passed BMW certification.

BMW is not in a position to provide a conclusion on each specific product of someone else's manufacture as to whether this product can be used on BMW vehicles without a risk to safety, i.e. without a threat to life and health. Acceptance by technical inspection bodies or official approval for operation cannot always provide you with such a guarantee, since the specific features of BMW operation cannot always be taken into account, and the checks may prove insufficient.

You can always purchase original spare parts and additional equipment recommended by BMW at a BMW service station. In addition, if you have any questions, they will be happy to answer them at any time at a BMW service station.
