Refueling a car (BMW 5 Series E34)
Open the fuel tank filler neck: turn the cap counterclockwise and remove it.
Closing the tank: put the cap back in place and turn it clockwise until it stops (bayonet lock).
The fuel filler neck has a smaller diameter and a standard fuel pump nozzle cannot be inserted into it. This is done to avoid accidental filling with leaded gasoline, which will disable the neutralizer.
Funnels with a reduced diameter tube are available for pouring gasoline from a canister (included in the special equipment kit).
