Install mounting plate 6002-2 and place the gearbox on the rotating disassembly stand.
Drain the oil from the gearbox housing.
Remove the clutch release fork, clutch release bearing and its guide sleeve from the front of the gearbox. Remove the input shaft retaining ring and take out the adjusting rings.
At the rear of the gearbox, unscrew the cover mounting bolts and press its mounting pins into the sockets to facilitate removal of the gearbox housing.
Remove the gearbox housing.
