Removal and installation, checking the resistance of the heater fan motor (BMW 5 Series E34)
Removal
Disconnect the ground wire from the battery
Remove the glove compartment.

Remove the side covers. To do this, unscrew bolts 1 and 2. Remove the bottom cover, then move it forward in the direction of the arrow and remove the top cover.

Disconnect the resistor connector by squeezing the tabs of the "arrow" lock.

Unscrew the bolts and remove the resistors.
Measure the ballast resistance with an ohmmeter according to the electrical diagram.
Installation
Insert the resistors and screw them on.
Connect the ground wire to the battery.
Connect the connector and check the fan operation at all speeds.
Insert the lids.
Install the glove box.
