Removal and installation the windshield wiper motor (BMW 3 Series E21)
Removal
Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
Disconnect the drive rod.
Mark the position of the electric motor crank.
Loosen the crank mounting nut and remove the crank from the axle.
Unscrew the three nuts securing the electric motor.
Remove the electric motor by unscrewing the buffer and disconnecting the wiring harness.
Installation
The windshield wiper motor is installed in the reverse order of removal. Pay special attention to the position of the crank. After installation, check the operation of the windshield wiper.
