Removal and installation the windshield wiper motor (BMW 5 Series E12)

Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals.

Unscrew the bolts securing the bulkhead in front of the front shield and remove the bulkhead.

Disconnect drive rod 1 (see photo), remove crank 2 of the electric motor.



Unscrew bolt 3 securing the electric motor to the bracket.

Disconnect the multi-pin connector 4.

Remove the windshield wiper motor.



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
