Replacing the mounting block (BMW 5 Series E12)

Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals.



Remove the mounting block cover.

Disconnect the central connector of the unit.

Remove the Phillips head screw and rotate the unit 180°C.

Disconnect wire bundles A and B with all wires (see photo).



Move the hook and remove the diagnostic connector bracket and the connector itself from the mounting block.

Unsolder the remaining wires 1-7 (see photo) from the mounting block.
