Replacing the TDC sensor (BMW 3 Series E21)
Working from below, remove the cylindrical body of the TDC sensor from the bracket and remove the protective cap from the sensor body.
Remove the TDC sensor by pressing the spring clip.
The installation of the TDC sensor is performed in the reverse order; in this case, it is necessary to maintain a gap between the sensor and the torsional vibration damper within 0.2–2.0 mm.
