The steering column is connected to the steering gear via an intermediate shaft with a cardan joint.
The steering gear is mounted on the front subframe and is connected to the steering knuckles via steering rods (in front of the wheel axle). The tie rod ends are threaded to adjust the wheel alignment.
All models have power steering. The power steering hydraulic system is powered by a pump that is belt driven from the crankshaft pulley.
