Note. You will need a new self-locking master cylinder nut when installing.
Withdrawal
1. In the passenger compartment, remove the lower trim panel on the driver's side, releasing it from the clips and screws (see chapter 11).
2. Remove the clutch pedal switch (if it exists). To do this, pull out the red sleeve to its full length, then squeeze the two latches and remove the switch from the bracket.
3. Squeeze the two halves of the retainer and remove the master cylinder pusher pin from the clutch pedal (see fig. 5.5).
4. Using pliers, carefully remove the return spring from the clutch pedal.
5. Remove the two plastic nuts and move the anti-theft alarm control unit to the side.
6. Remove the pedal retainer on the axle. then move the pedal to the right and remove from the axle. Remove bushings (pic. 7.6).
Installation
7. Before installing the pedal on the axle, check the condition of the bushings and. if necessary, replace them. Apply some grease to the bushings.
8. Installation is carried out in sequence. reverse withdrawal. Before installing the switch, make sure that the switch pusher is fully extended.
