Removal of the clutch pedal must be carried out without removing the bracket for its fastening in the following order.
Disconnect «–» terminal from AB and remove the left lower facing panel of the pedal mechanism from under the steering column.
Remove reinforcement plate and switch block. Depress the clutch pedal and lock it with the stop.
Disconnect loop (1, fig. 7.31), pull out the stop (3) to the end in the direction indicated by the arrow. Squeeze both clips at the front and remove the switch (2) moving backwards in the direction indicated by the arrow.
Remove the stop and slowly return the clutch pedal to its original position. Remove brace (6, see fig. 7.4) and remove your finger (5) master cylinder drive. Disconnect the clutch master cylinder drive from the lever (1) pedals.
Attention! Do not disconnect the pressure line from the clutch master cylinder.
Attach the clutch master cylinder to the footwell.
Remove retainer (12) pin (11) return spring (9) pedal and remove the pin (11).
Remove flat fuse (4) lever (1) clutch pedal and remove it.
Installation of the clutch pedal lever should be carried out in the reverse order, while it is necessary to replace the bushings (3) pedal suspension pivot.
Lightly grease bushings (3) hinge and axle (14) on the pedal bracket (15) BMW special grease or Renocal FN 745 grease. Glissando VW 745.
Make sure that the master cylinder supply hose does not come into contact with the pedal bracket parts.
