Removal of the release bearing and clutch release fork must be carried out in the following order.
Remove the gearbox and release bearing (1, Fig. 7.27) from the primary shaft of the manual transmission.

Remove the lever (1, see Fig. 7.28) disengaging the clutch together with the spring clip (2).

Check the release bearing, which consists of its external inspection for wear resistance, manual unwinding and checking the smoothness and freedom of its rotation. Replace the bearing with signs of wear or slow rotation. Wipe the bearing with a clean dry cloth. The internal grease embedded in the bearing guarantees its normal operation for the entire service life of the vehicle.
Attention! Washing the bearing is prohibited, as this may wash out the factory grease.
The release bearing should be installed in the reverse order, and it is necessary.
Clean all surfaces (1 and 2, Fig. 7.29) sliding surfaces of the clutch. The sliding surfaces (2) of the clutch must be in contact with the sliding surfaces (3) of the clutch release fork.

Clean the clutch release lever. Apply a thin layer of grease such as "Esso UNIREX S2" or "Molykote Longtherm 2" on the sliding surface (1 and 2) of the clutch release lever.
Check and, if necessary, replace the spring clip (2, see Fig. 7.30) and a bolt (3) with a ball head – a pin.

Attention! In the manual transmission type "GS6.." the spring bracket and the bolt with the ball head must be changed every time.
Wipe the guide sleeve (1) of the release bearing, do not apply grease.
Install the clutch release lever with the bearing on the guide sleeve of the manual transmission primary shaft. Press the lever together with the bearing to the ball-head bolt and fix them in the initial position with a spring clip.
Install the gearbox.
