Clutch release bearing guide sleeve (GS 6 — 37 bz/dz) (BMW X3 E83)

Replacing the clutch release bearing guide bushing (GS6-37BZ/DZ)



Note: The gearbox has been removed.


1. Remove the release bearing and clutch release fork from the guide sleeve (front cover).

2. Remove the screws.

3. Remove the guide sleeve (1).

Note:
  • When installing, it is necessary to clean the threads.
  • Coat the screws with Loctite 243 and screw them in.


Tightening torque:
  • M8 x 22:18 Nm.
  • M8 x 30: 25 Nm.
  • M6: x 10 Nm.

Note: Remove the sticker (1) completely and remove any remaining adhesive with a suitable solvent.

4. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
