Removal and installation a telescopic stand (BMW 3 Series E21)
Removal
Place a support under the suspension arm.
Loosen the nut securing the strut to the suspension arm.
Loosen the nuts securing the mounting cup of the strut to the body, then remove the telescopic strut and take out the sealing gasket.
Installation
Replace the upper sealing gasket and install the telescopic stand.
Tighten the nuts securing the strut mounting cup to the body.
Attach the strut to the suspension arm without tightening the strut to suspension arm bolt nut.
Remove the support from under the suspension arm, lower the vehicle and tighten the nut securing the strut to the suspension arm.
