Disconnect the connector from the control pressure regulator and connect the BMW 61 1 440 control wire to it.
Connect an ohmmeter to the connecting contacts of the thermal winding of the bimetallic spring of the regulator and make sure that there is no break in the thermal winding.
Connect a voltmeter to the control pressure regulator block and check the voltage with the engine running, which should be at least 11.5 V.
