Checking the slave disk status (BMW 3 Series E21)

The condition of the driven clutch disc can be checked directly on the vehicle.

Place the vehicle on a lift and insert template 212060 between the clutch housing and the clutch slave cylinder.

If the template rests against the clutch slave cylinder, the driven disk is operational.

If there is a gap of about 5 mm between the disputed surface of the template and the clutch drive slave cylinder, it is necessary to remove the clutch.
