
The fuses are located in the fuse box, located in the passenger compartment on the left next to the steering column.
Before replacing a fuse, be sure to first switch off the corresponding consumers.
Disconnect the clamps and remove the fuse box cover.
A blown fuse can be identified by a melted metal strip.
Remove the blown fuse using the tweezers located in the fuse box (arrow).
Insert a new fuse of the same rating. BMW 3-Series cars are equipped with fuses that meet the latest technological developments. They have knife contacts, so that conventional fuses cannot be installed.
If the new fuse blows immediately, the corresponding current circuit should be checked. The individual current circuits are listed on the inside of the cover.
Never replace a fuse with a piece of wire or other auxiliary means, as this may cause serious malfunctions of the electrical equipment.
It is recommended to always have a few spare fuses in the car. There is space in the fuse box for storing them.

The fuse rating is indicated on the back of its cap. In addition, the caps are painted in different colors, by which you can determine the fuse rating. A - fuse thread.

Place the fuse box cover back on, lower it down and snap it into place.
