To avoid overloads and short circuits, some circuits are protected by fuses.
The fuses are located in the fuse box located in the left rear of the engine compartment.
Before replacing a fuse, it is essential to first switch off the relevant consumer.
Disconnect the clips and remove the fuse box cover.
A blown fuse is identified by a melted metal strip.
Remove the blown fuse with the tweezers from the fuse box -arrow-.
Insert a new fuse of the same rating.
If a new fuse blows immediately, check the appropriate current circuit. The individual circuits are listed on the inside of the cover.
Never replace the fuse with a piece of wire or other auxiliary means, as this can cause serious malfunctions in the operation of the electrical equipment.
It is recommended that you always have several spare fuses in your vehicle. There are free spaces in the fuse box for storing them.
The fuse rating is printed on the back of its cap. In addition, the caps are painted in different colors, by which you can determine the fuse rating. A = fuse thread.
Install fuse box cover, slide down and snap into place.
