Headlight readjustment (BMW 3 Series E46)

Before crossing the border of a country with a different direction of travel, the following steps should be taken to readjust the headlights:

Cars without xenon headlights

Contact a BMW service station, where a removable film for headlights is offered, which prevents oncoming drivers from being dazzled. Information on applying the film is contained in the supposed instructions.

Cars with xenon headlights*

On the back of the headlights, turn the adjustment knob:

Left-hand traffic - turn the handle to the letter "L".

Right hand traffic - turn the handle to the letter "R".
