Adjusting the headlight range (BMW X3 E83)

Halogen headlights

To prevent headlights from blinding oncoming drivers, the headlight angle must be adjusted to match the vehicle load. After the slash, the values for driving with a trailer are indicated.

• 0/1 = one - two people and an empty trunk.
• 1/1 = five people and an empty trunk.
• 1/2 = five people and cargo in the trunk.
• 2/2 = one person and a full trunk.

Observe the permitted rear axle load limits.

Xenon headlights (optional)

The headlight angle is adjustable (for example: during acceleration, braking and depending on the vehicle load) automatically.
