Adjustment of clearances in the valve drive mechanism is carried out by slightly opening the cylinder valves.
Clearances in the valve drive mechanism
The normal clearance in mm between the eccentric and the end of the valve stem, measured with a feeler gauge on a cold engine, is for the intake and exhaust valves:
- "315", "316" (up to 1980 model year), "318", "320", "3201": 0,15-0,20;
- on "316" (since 1981 model year): 0,20±0,025;
- on "3181": 0.20-0.25.
