Checking the injection system of a gasoline engine (BMW 3 Series E46)

Special devices are required for system troubleshooting and troubleshooting. Refer to Section Troubleshooting. It is advisable to carry out the work in the conditions of the service station. Only external checks are described here.

1. Check the voltage and charge level of the battery.

2. Check all fuses, refer to Section Replacing fuses.

3. Disconnect and reconnect all plug connections of the relevant electronic system. Check that the plug connections and cables are securely fastened in the engine compartment.

4. Check all ground connections and contact reliability.

5. Check the tightness of the hoses and pipes. Pay attention to the presence of pores and cracks. Tighten loose connections.
