1. This chapter is intended to help the vehicle owner maintain the vehicle in a state of maximum power, economy and safety for a long time.
2. The chapter is structured according to the maintenance schedule and each paragraph is devoted to the implementation of individual points of this schedule. All necessary actions are described, starting with inspection and ending with replacement of faulty elements.
3. Performing maintenance according to the interval display will help you keep your car in top working condition for a long time. The schedule is systematic, which means that performing some of its points and not performing others will not give the expected result.
4. When performing maintenance, you will find that some operations can (and should) be combined, if only to save time. For example, if for some reason you need to get under the car, inspect the condition of the exhaust, fuel, and brake systems at the same time. Or you borrowed a torque wrench from a neighbor in the garage to tighten the spark plugs. Then, at one time, check as many connections that require specified tightening as time allows.
5. Before starting any work, you need to prepare for it. Read the description of all the procedures you are going to perform. Write down and prepare all the tools, devices and spare parts that you may need. If you do not feel confident in performing any procedure, consult a specialist in advance.
