Maintenance Procedures Introduction (BMW 3 Series E46)

1. This chapter is intended to help the vehicle owner maintain the vehicle in a state of maximum power, economy and safety for a long time.

2. The chapter is structured according to the maintenance schedule and each paragraph is devoted to the implementation of individual points of this schedule. All necessary actions are described, starting with inspection and ending with replacement of faulty elements.

3. Performing maintenance according to the interval display will help you keep your car in top working condition for a long time. The schedule is systematic, which means that performing some of its points and not performing others will not give the expected result.

Or you borrowed a torque wrench from a neighbor in the garage to tighten the spark plugs. Then, at one time, check as many connections that require specified tightening as time allows.
