To close the fuel tank cap again, place it on the neck and screw it in until it stops by turning it clockwise until it clicks (bayonet lock).
Handle fuel with care and follow appropriate safety precautions.
Opening the fuel filler flap when the automatic central locking system fails:
- lift the boot mat on the right;
- remove the trim on the right side;
- push back the locking rod.
BMW Touring:
- open the cargo compartment side trim cover on the right;
- pull back the button with the fuel pump symbol.
