Rear lights (BMW 5 Series E34)

• Side lights: lamp power 5 W
• Other lights: lamp power 21 W

Rear light cluster

To access these lamps, fold back the floor covering and remove the trim, revealing the fasteners.

Press the corresponding socket lightly and turn it to the left. Pull out the socket and replace the lamp.

Light block in the trunk lid

Bend back the boot lid cover, press lightly on the corresponding socket and turn it to the left. Pull out the socket and replace the bulb.

Central brake light*

21W bulb. Open the trunk lid, press the bulb holder lightly, turn it to the left and pull it out. Replace the bulb.

Front direction indicators

Lamp power 21 W.

Squeeze the retaining tabs of the lamp holder and pull it out.

Remove the bulb by pressing it lightly and turning it to the left.

Side direction indicators

5W lamp.

Remove the Phillips head screw, slide the side indicator lamp forward and remove it.

Remove the bulb by pressing it lightly and turning it to the left.

License plate light

5W lamp.

Remove the Phillips head screw. Pull out the lampshade together with the rubber seal. Remove the bulb from the spring holder and replace it.

Interior lighting of the salon

Front lights: 10W

If a reading lamp is available:

• Main lamp: 15W
• Reading lamp: 10W

Replacing the lamp:

• Main lamp: pull out the lamp, remove the reflector, replace the lamp.
• Reading lamp: Remove the lamp by pressing it lightly and turning it to the left.

Rear lights: 10W

Replacing the lamp:

• Main lamp: pull out the lamp, remove the reflector, replace the lamp.
• Reading lamp: Remove the lamp by pressing it lightly and turning it to the left.

Trunk lighting

Lamp power 10 W

Light under the storage shelf behind the rear seats: Remove the light by prying it with a screwdriver and replace the bulb.

Trunk lid lamp: Remove lampshade, replace lamp

Engine compartment lighting

Lamp power 10 W

Press the fasteners holding the lampshade using a screwdriver, remove the lampshade, replace the lamp.
