To ensure the operational safety of your vehicle, do not use cordless telephones or other portable radio communication devices whose antenna is located inside the passenger compartment or is not attached to the outside of the vehicle.
Remove the antenna before loading onto road transport vehicles or before passing automatic washers.
Radio reception
The quality of sound reception and playback by a car radio depends on the distance of the radio station, as well as on the position of the car when receiving and the orientation of the antenna.
Despite the impeccable protection against interference generated by the systems of the car itself. in the process of receiving while driving, unsuppressed extraneous noise occurs due to external influences, the sources of which are high-voltage power lines, buildings or natural obstacles in the path of radio waves. Natural influences such as intense sunlight, fog, rain or snowfall can also interfere with radio reception.
Car or portable phones not recommended by BMW may also be sources of interference. This interference manifests itself as a low-pitched hum from the loudspeakers.
Installation and handling of the radio are described in the accompanying instruction manual.
