Checking the tie rod/wishbone dust caps (BMW 5 Series E39)

Raise the car from the front.



Illuminate the protective caps on the left and right with a lamp and check for damage, paying attention to the presence of grease deposits on the caps and associated parts.

If the dust cap is damaged, for safety reasons, replace the corresponding joint together with the cap, as dirt is guaranteed to destroy it.
